Global Education and Connection

This week, 250 student-written “Story Portraits” went to Uganda! Students at Owen Middle School and Covenant Community Church in Asheville were prompted by a presentation on Uganda and had the chance to learn about Ugandan culture. The “Story Portraits” they have written will be personally delivered to schools in Uganda by Kathe Kexel who is traveling there to support the Hope Institute of Uganda. It was my honor and pleasure to make this connection between students. Upon Kathe’s return at the end of March, we will deliver Ugandan student-written stories to the project participants, who will be incredibly blessed by this cross-cultural learning exchange. Can’t wait!
